Frequently asked questions for Dubai Home Owners

Q1 : Am I allowed to rent my property in Dubai to holidaymakers ?

Yes : Following a change in law in 2013,owners of properties in Dubai are now allowed to rent their properties in Dubai to holidaymakers on a short term basis. With Dubai winning EXPO 2020 and its goal to be “First Choice” for the international leisure and business traveller, Dubai is expanding the short stay market to those who prefer the freedom and flexibility of apartment or villa rentals rather than a traditional hotel stay.

Dubai Tourism Commerce Marketing (“DTCM”) regulates this market under strict rules and regulations. Provided you are properly licensed by the DTCM or appoint a licensed managing company (such as Ourplace Yourplace) , you may rent your property out for short term rentals.
